New Yellow Bowls

I know I've spent many words and many dollars on WHITE DISHES, I really do believe that white dishes are the best way to go! So my most recent purchase may seem like I'm deviating from the white dish path, but one of the reasons I think white dishes are the best is because you can buy just a few dishes in different colors and patterns and match them up with your existing white dishes and have a whole new look!

I saw these Yellow and White bowls at Homesense I couldn't resist!

I hope you like our newest additions! I can't wait to set a table with some pretty yellow napkins and bowls!!
I'm gearing up for spring cleaning next week, gathering supplies, making a plan, and putting together a playlist, can't wait to share!
Anyone else thinking of Spring Cleaning?? or am I alone?

  5. Oh, these are so fresh and fun. I've been really loving yellow as of late. Especially when paired with grey and white, like your bowls are. Beautiful addition to your kitchen!

  6. I feel like I've been thinking about spring cleaning since January (I'm a freak haha), but I haven't had a good, open weekend to get things done! Maybe next weekend...sigh. (I'm probably the only person in the who is SAD they don't have time to clean!)

  9. I started yesterday! I cleaned out 2 of my junk-catching cabinets and this morning gave the master bedroom and bath a scrub down from top to bottom (usually a job broken up by doing a little here and there). Next up, going through my girls' clothes to donate what doesn't fit anymore! I'm thinking spring comes a little earlier in Vegas thN it does in Canada!

  10. I have been thinking about spring cleaning too. I have gone through my closet and dresser. I already went through my little boys clothes and donated summer stuff that won't fit this year. I do go through some areas of my house pretty regularly. Being I am still doing a lot of cooking for work (I make meals for a tax office during the tax season) and driving little one back and forth to a preschool a pretty good distance away, I will be doing it in small bits at a time. The kids are all off school next week. I think I will enlist some help and put them both to work. Think if we tackle the kitchen and bathrooms next week, I will take them to the Mall of America. Fair trade, I think. :)

  11. I've been thinking about it for a while. . but that's about as far as it's gotten. . lol. Too many distractions. I have been using a modified version of your weekly cleaning schedule and I have to say that it works great!! It frees up my weekends and my house is always clean and organized. Thank you for that!!

  12. Those are adorable. There is something so fresh and clean about yellow. I too jumped on the white dish bandwagon a few years ago, and agree it makes good sense.

Ashli, unrelated to this post, I read your blog every day. It's always a treat to see it waiting for me in my in-box.

  16. I love that set! I was almost tempted to buy the luncheon plates from that set and have them framed to go on our dark gray wall. :) Can't wait to see what you get done for spring cleaning, it might be the kick in the pants I need to get some stuff done around here.

  17. Love them! So cute and springy.

I've also started on spring cleaning. Slowly. I think on Sunday I'm going to hunker down and do the big stuff and then go through the rest next week.
