What's better than 1 Christmas Wreath ? ?

. . . 3 Christmas Wreaths!!!!

I wanted something different for our back door this year. So I decided to use 3 wreaths instead of the standard 1. Christmas is Crazy around here . . . it's a regular 3 ring circus  hahaha  Get it?? Three rings . . . three wreaths . . . clearly I am a comical mastermind . . . or not! Definitely Not!

Originally I thought I would tie them together with ribbon but, that did not work! Did not work at all, they kept flipping and flopping off the door every time you opened it!
So plan B hang each one individually, on a 3M hook, worked great! They stay put perfectly and that door gets opened and closed a lot!!!

I know the 3 wreath option isn't going to tickle every ones fancy, but I really like it! I also think it would be a nice spot to take a Christmas Photo beside!

Wreaths from Michaels, and ribbon from Nashville Wraps.

Does anyone else have any crazy holiday decorations???

  1. I don't think it's crazy, I think it's beautiful! I LOVE decorating with wreaths, and just blogged about it the other day (with a photo similar to yours). You can never have enough wreaths! :-)

  5. Is it possible to still tie them together AND use the 3M hooks? I saw something similar on Pinterest and was wondering about how it wouldn't flop around or be too heavy.

  7. I don't really have many decorations so far this year. Hopefully I will be able to add a few more!

I love your 3-wreath idea though. Very festive. =)

And yes, I did a crazy holiday decor project with pompoms for Thanksgiving here: http://www.creolewisdom.com/my_weblog/2011/11/thanksgiving-report-wednesday.html

  10. It looks lovely.

Martha Stewart did this last year and it is in her Christmas magazine this year also.
She used blue spruce wreaths which picked up the teal blue from the ribbon, a very pretty combination.

  11. Love it! One year we used 3 wreaths and made a snowman for our front door, complete with hat, scarf and twigs for arms!!

  14. I love the three wreaths on your back door. They are quite a complement. I do have a couple questions though and I hope you don't mind.
    1. What is the little sign under your light switch by the back door?
    2. Why do you have a towel ring and towel under the little sign? I think I know.
    3. What are the colors used on your walls and trim in that room?
    4. And finally, where did you get your two tone curtains (window panels)?
    Thanks,
    Jane

  15. Hi Jane,
    1. The little sign beside the door says "wipe your paws".
    2. the towel ring holds a little hand towel for when Max comes in from the back yard. He's so small that if there's wet grass outside he's soaking wet! Also our floors show every little bit of dirt so we wipe his paws when he comes in.

    3. The wall color is Mourning Dove, and the trim color is Heavy cream both by Martha Stewart.

    4. and the two tone curtain panels I made from regular old, ikea curtains Rivta I think??

Hope that answered all your questions!!
    Lots of Love
    Ashli
